Prato Borni
Your holiday resort
Prato Borni is the old name for Zermatt. Prato Borni is first mentioned in documents in the 12th century. On Switzerland’s oldest map from the years 1495/7 the village at the foot of the Matterhorn is known as "Matt". The name Zermatt then first appears in an official municipal communication from 1831.
Tradition
As the founders of Prato Borni, we come from families with a tradition of working as ski instructors and mountain guides. We all grew up in Zermatt and have been skiing, snowboarding or telemark skiing since childhood.
